You can view closed captions, chapters, and links in the Player if they are available in the presentation.

Display closed captions

Click Display Closed Captions to display closed captions below the presentation's video. Click the button again to hide the captions.

Notes:

  • The Closed Captions button appears in presentations only if closed captions have been added to the presentation.
  • The embeddable Players only support closed captions when in full screen.

Search slides and closed captions

Search slides and
closed captions

You can search slides and closed captioning text (if closed captions have been added) in a presentation. To search closed captions and slides:

  1. Click the Search Closed Captions and Slides button to display the search field.
  2. Enter the word or phrase you are seeking and click Search. The search results are displayed.
  3. Scroll down the search results list and click on a search result to go to the time it appears in the presentation.

Note: When the Player is in full screen mode, the search closed captions feature is not available.

View information

Click Display presentation information to view a presentation's details (presenter, description, record date and time, length, etc.) as well as its chapters.

View links

View links

The Links feature is enabled in the Mediasite Player only if links to websites and documents have been added to the presentation. To view a presentation's links:

  1. Click View links.
  2. Click the link you want to view. The specified web address will load in another browser window.

View chapters

  1. Click Display presentation information > Chapters to view an organized list of key parts of a presentation. The chapter's title and the time the chapter appears in the presentation is displayed.
  2. Click a chapter to view the presentation at the time it appears in the presentation.

Note: You will not see an option for chapters if they have not been added to the presentation.
